Description
The Bournville Village featival is held in June. Apart from during the war years The maypole event has been danced by local children every year since 1902. When petal girls and gipsy dancers are included the number of participants is thought to be one of the largest in the country.
These chickens are part of an experiment in pest control by a hereford organic farm. The chickens eat the laval stage of insect pests preventing them from attacking the fruit trees. Their droppings also add nutrients to the soil.
