Description
Eurydema dominulus Family: Pentatomidae Species of Eurydema are dramatically coloured, usually red and black bugs, but often with other colour morphs. E. dominulus is usually red overlain with dark markings and is distinctly smaller than E. ornatum, which can show similar markings. This bug overwinters as an adult, emerging in the spring. Larvae may be found May-July on a range of hostplants in the Brassicaceae, inlcuding Cuckoo flower and Lesser swine cress. A very scarce species found in woodland rides in parts of southern England. Most records are from Kent and Sussex.
