The Palm House Sefton Park Liverpool. Grade 2 listed building. Designed by Mckenzie and Moncur. It cost £12, 000 to build. The Palm House is 100 feet wide and 70 feet high. I think this shot shows the beauty of the structure and gives a feeling of elegant confidence which the City of Liverpool had in the 19th century. It was used to show off exotic Orchids and other tropical plants brought from overseas and is strongly linked to the City's Maritime past and present
