Approx 200 of these chassis were built after WWII from surplus Hippo parts, hence the interim name. New to Meux Brewery, London, before entering Fairground use.
After appearing at the Earls Court Show was sold to Associated Portland Cement. In 1967 passed to showman Jennings of Devizes, then to Ian Perrett of Bristol. Bought by present owner in 2009.

Works No.752. The only McLaren Roller to survive in UK. Another is known in New Zealand. Supplied new to Stockport Corporation Waterworks specifically for use in the construction of Kinder Reservoir.
