The Eagle Owl is a large and powerful bird, smaller than the Golden Eagle but larger than the Snowy Owl. It is sometimes titled the world's largest owl, but so is the Blakiston's Fish Owl, which is slightly bigger on average.[2][3] The Eagle Owl has a wingspan of up to 138–200 cm (55–79 in) and measures 58–73 cm (23–29 in) long. Females weigh 1.75-4.2 kg (3.9-9.4 lbs) and males weigh 1.5-3.2 kg (3.3-7 lbs). In comparison, the common Barn Owl weighs about 500 grams (1.1 lbs). It mainly feeds on small mammals, but can kill prey up to the size of foxes and young deer (up to 10 kg/22 lb), if taken by surprise. Larger prey (over 3 kg/7 lb) is consumed on the ground which leaves the bird vulnerable (for example to foxes). It is said to be routinely able to swallow a hedgehog whole.

Loved by bees and butterflies, painted by revered artists, and treasured by summer gardeners, the sunflower plant (Helianthus annuus) is truly an American favorite. These solar worshipers turn their buds towards the morning sun in the east, and the setting sun in the west, which is why it is easy to understand just how the sunflower got its name.

The British Red Telephone Box is a familiar sight on the streets of this country, it is a very British icon. The first Red Telephone Box design was introduced in 1924, and by 1968 the Post Office had introduced its eighth design for a National Telephone Kiosk. Over the last eighty years the Telephone Box has become a symbolic piece of street architecture, whether in the our rural villages or on our urban highways. The first Telephone Box was the K1, introduced in 1920 and a few years later a national competition was held to find a design for a new national telephone box. The winning design was submitted by the pre-eminent British architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott. Though in the latter years of the twentieth century many were replaced by modern-glass kiosks, the Telephone Box occupied such a place in people's affections that those left were preserved and many were given listed-status protecting them from removal and destruction. Today, the Telephone Box remains a welcome sight on the streets of the Britain.
Another Place consists of 100 cast-iron, life-size figures spread out along three kilometers of the foreshore, stretching almost one kilometre out to sea. Contractors spent three weeks lifting the figures into place and driving them into the beach on the-metre-high foundation piles. The Another Place figures - each one weighing 650 kilos - are made from casts of the artist's own body and are shown at different stages of rising out of the sand, all of them looking out to sea, staring at the horizon in silent expectation. The work is seen as a poetic response to the individual and universal sentiments associated with emigration - sadness at leaving, but the hope of a new future in another place.
