Description
The Azure Window, near Dwerja Bay, is a 50 metre high rock arch in the Dwejra Point cliffs. The sea has worn a hole through a narrow headland forming "the window" called it-Tieqa in Maltese. The arch has become unstable over time.

The Inland Sea, near Dwejra Point and Dwejra Bay, is a small sea lake which is connected to the open sea by a tunnel which runs through the cliff. The tunnel slopes gradually downwards and at the opening on the seaward (Mediterranean) side it is about 30 metres (meters) (100 feet) deep. At the entrance to the open sea the water seems to be an amazing blue colour, the intensity heightened by the darkness of the tunnel and the light of the open sea.

The ladders cannot be bolted to the cliff face because the force of the waves would still tear them away. The ladders are used by divers to exit the water after a dive, snorkelers, snorkellers and swimmers.

She was sunk off the coast at Xatt-L-Ahmar, also known as the Red Coast, and sits between 36 and 40 metres(meters) (118 to 131 feet). She is fairly easily accessible from the shore, some 60 metres (meters) on a bearing of about 160 degrees from the ladder. On a good day the horizontal visibility underwater can be as much as 30 metres (meters) (100 feet). As an added attraction, there is an old Volkswagen (VW) Beetle affixed to her stern. This was not part of the original plan, but the story goes that some unnamed divers floated to Beetle out to the wreck, positioned her over the stern, sunk and subsequently padlocked her in place. A year later, there is some marine growth on her superstructure.

When no more sea salt can be extracted the water is drained off and the sea salt left to dry in the sun before it is collected.

On 12 August 2006, the MV Cominoland Ferry which used to operate between Gozo and Comino, carrying up to 400 passengers and 10 cars, was sunk (scuttled) in 39 metres of water to provide a diving wreck for divers, and so boost the economy. She was sunk off the coast of Xatt-L-Ahmer, also called the Red Coast, and sits upright between 36 and 40 metres (meters) (118 and 131 feet). Lying some 60 metres away, she is relatively easily accessible from the shore along a bearing of about 220 degrees from the ladder. On a good day, the horizontal visibility underwater can be as much as 30 meters (meters) (110 feet) A year later, there are signs of marine growth, and shoals of fish have begun to colonise (colonize) the wreck.

Underneath a private dwelling still owned by Joseph Rapa's descendants, it measures some 20 metres by 8 metres ( 66 feet by 26 feet). There are numerous magnificent columns standing side by side like some petrified forest. In the past the cave must have been even more spectacular because there is evidence of numerous straw stalactites, which have now been broken off. There are even a few helictites. The formations are now dry and mainly the same colour as the surrounding rock, although some are semitransparent and it is possible to see the rings formed as they grew. A thorough archaeological examination of the cave has never been undertaken, owing to the fragile nature of the columns, I was informed. A member of the family acts as guide whenever tourists visit. As this is also a private dwelling, the living room also on display as a typical Gozitan home. The cave is located at the rear of number 15 January Street, Xaghra.
