Daphne du Maurier, a former resident, chose Bolventor as the setting for her novel about Cornish smugglers titled Jamaica Inn. The church is now closed.

Image taken at a WW2 re-enactment & photoscape was used to add the antique effect, whilst PS Elements provided the painterly feel with pallette knife.
