Maus Castle (German: Burg Maus, meaning Mouse Castle) is a castle above the village of Wellmich (part of Sankt Goarshausen) in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It lies on the east side of the Rhine, north of Katz Castle (Cat Castle) in Sankt Goarshausen and opposite Rheinfels Castle at Sankt Goar across the river. Wellmich suffers from the noise of the Railway which cuts through the village, carrying an ever increasing amount of freight, much of it throughout the night.

It was owned successively by the Eppsteins, the Counts of Katzenelnbogen, and, from 1479, the Landgraves of Hesse, until it fell to the Prussians in 1866, along with Braubach. In 1899 Kaiser Wilhelm II presented the castle to the "Association for the Preservation of German Castles". This association has spared no effort or expense in looking after the building, and has repaired the heavy damage suffered under artillery fire during the last war. The tower, 130 ft. high, is a well-loved landmark for miles around. Inside, the castle offers its many visitors an authentic picture of mediaeval fortified and domestic architecture. The railway through the Middle Rhine Valley is one of the busiest routes in Europe, and a serious "bottle neck" for traffic from Rotterdam to Switzerland and Northern Italy
