The Alamo (Mission San Antonio de Valero) at dawn in San Antonio, Texas, USA, North America. 200 Texans led by James Bowie and Davy Crockett were besieged here by a Mexican Army of thousands under Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana from 24.2.1836 until 6.3.1836, when all but 15 of the defenders were killed.
