The north face of the Stob Dearg (1022m) peak of Buachaille Etive Mòr (translates as the Great Herdsman of Etive. The slopes of the Buchaille covered with steep rock buttress's and gullies make it one of the most popular climbing locations in Scotland offering routes of all levels of difficulty. Particularly challenging in winter conditions fatalities are not uncommon even among experienced climbers.
