The village cricket team of Tackley, Oxfordshire, winners of the Valentia Cup in 1935. The late local woodworker and cabinet maker Frederick Edward (Ted) Grimsley can be seen far left on back row as a 17 year old. Ted went on to serve in the RAF in the far east in World War 2 as an airframe fitter on Hurricanes and Curtiss Mohawk aircraft.
