US Navy photo taken on November 14 2007 showing Blackbeard 1, an SH-60F military helicopter, flying past Mount Fuji. The sheer size of Mount Fuji is apparent from the way it dwarfs the road which can be seen meandering down the slope at the bottom right of the image. Fuji is Japan's tallest volcano (3776 metres / 12,338 feet) and is located about 110km (70 miles) west-southwest of Tokyo. The summit crater is about 250m deep with a diameter of about 500m. Fuji last erupted in 1707.
