XX281 on the left is 151 Sqn, and XX230 on the right is 63 Sqn, both 7 FTS. The Tornado GR.1A in the background is ZA402 with A&AEE, still in 45 Sqn/TWCU colours. In July 1992, 45(R) Sqn designation transferred to the METS at 6 FTS.

This was the Phantom display aircraft of 1992. The Cold war was over, as was the first Gulf war, and the RAF's F-4's were about to be retired. This aircraft was allocated to 74 Sqn, but also wore 56 Sqn marks (sort of) at the front.
