Vaynor Quarries, Merthyr Tydfil, Mid Glamorgan, Wales, UK. The quarries were opened in 1847 to supply limestone to the Cyfarthfa Ironworks Works in Merthyr. The site remains open (2011) owned by Hanson Aggregates.
