Dickson House, the home of Col. Dickson, the first British Commissioner in Kuwait. Originally built in 1870 by a Kuwaiti merchant, in 1929 the house was given to Britain to use as residential headquarters. It is an excellent example of early Kuwaiti architecture. In 1990, the house became the responsibility of the National Council for Culture, Arts and letters. The house is sited opposite the Dhow harbour and is fondly remembered by Kuwaitis. The house has been beautifully restored and is well worth a visit. Some of the old photographs and letters are a fascinating glimpse into the historical links between Britain and Kuwait.

Churches Architecture This picture was taken late afternoon on a Sunday.; ; In this picture I tried to show the Doncaster Minister through a different perspective. ; ; I think that with the tree in the foreground it makes the Minister seem mysterious & makes a person want to go nearer.
SCTOUR; This is the nearest approximation to the Charles Lever painting that can be taken showing the church during summer It is however not taken from the correct position as the cottages from this viewpoint are behind the fence on the left of the picture If the photograph is taken from the correct position both chuch and cottages are obscured by hedges See my other photograph
