A common blue damselfly (Enallagma cyathigerium) on an Opium poppy leaf (Papaver somniferum - "Danebrog lace" ("Danish flag") after a rain shower. Taken in our Lincolnshire garden in 2008.

A common blue damselfly (Enallagma cyathigerum) resting on a seedhead of Brown Fox Sedge (Carex vulpinoidea). Taken in our garden in Lincolnshire in 2008.

The marking on the second segment of the abdomen is U-shaped, separated from the segment's narrow terminal black band.
