Portrait engraving print circa 1897 of a young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart rehearsing his XIIth mass. Mozart (1756 - 1791) was a child prodigy who became a prolific and influential composer. Engraving by Victor Focillon, based on the painting by J Scherrer.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) at the age of seven playing his violin in front of Empress Maria Theresa. The story is that when Mozart had finished, he jumped on Maria Theresa's lap and gave her a kiss. Mozart's father Leopold and his sister stand by the piano looking on.
