CHEDDAR GORGE, Mendip Hills, Somerset : view acxross the gorge from the northern lip were Red Valerian (Centranthus ruber) grows on the cliff edge. On the opposite, southern, side, rise the sheer limestone cliffs of ( L > R ) Castle Rocks, Sunset Buttress, Great Rock, High Rock (450 ft / 135m. high ) and Acid Rock. The parked cars give scale.
