Description
Locally known as the spanish shrine, it was constructed in 1889 as a memorial to Dolores de Bergrin, a Spanish aristocrat and governess to the children at the then nearby Errwood Hall. The shrine itself is located about quarter of a mile from the nearest road in a steep narrow valley within the Goyt Valley, near Buxton in Derbyshire.
