Grumman F-14A Tomcat 159855 landing at Farnborough International Airshow, England, UK on 8th September 1976. In the background are the famous Farnborough "A Shed". The F-14A was developed for the US Navy and was in service from 1974 until 2006. The F14 is still flying (2010) with the Iran Air Force (the planes were supplied when the US and Iran were on friendly terms).

The hulk of S.S.Great Britain returns to Bristol and the dry dock from which she was launched in 1843. At the time of her launch she was twice the tonnage of any previous ship and was the first ocean going ship to be built entirely of metal and propeller driven.
