Description
An estuary in France at low tide. Some of the boats are floating in the narrow strip of water that remains whilst others lie beached. The light is weak and ethereal; the mud banks reflect the available light whilst the trees in the background are shrouded in mist.
The wreck of the Norwegian barque SS Nornen at Berrow Flats in Somerset England at dusk. The Nornen was wrecked during a storm in 1897. All crew were rescued by the Burnham lifeboat.
