1950 Eberan von Eberhorst joined Aston Martin designed a car to replace the DB2. September 1951 and May 1953 Only 10 cars were produced and only 5 of which were for sale. One car DB3/2 was for David Brown himself. The chassis used was a ladder frame. The engine fitted to all DB3 was the Vantage unit fitted in the DB2.
