Description
Oudong was the capital of Cambodia from 1618 to 1866. The royal stupas (tombs) at Phnom Oudong (Oudong Mountain) are a popular tourist attraction about forty kilometers north west of the present capital Phnom Penh. The image shows decorative detail (including Garuda figures around eye level) on the base of the Chet Dey Mak Proum stupa, with the Tray Troeng stupa in the background.
