Description
Mature English Elm, or Atinian Elm (Ulmus procera) at Farnham Park, Surrey, UK in 1977, in early spring. By this time many of the English Elms in the UK had succumbed to Dutch Elm Disease. Mature English Elms only survive in a few locations, and are arguably not as majestic as those seen in the past.
