IRAQ Al Anbar Province -- 2005 -- Gabriel Pena, is a turret gunner on a Seabee Engineer Reconnaisance Team (SERT) team convoy. His team sets out on a mission to assess damage to railway lines at the city limits of Fallujah, Iraq. Early in the day, the team found a 155mm howitzer-round improvised explosive device (IED) disguised on a rail track. Later, they encountered sniper fire while taking measurements near an embankment.
