    Description
Gunwalloe is a village and civil parish in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. Situated at the base of the Lizard Peninsula and near the town of Helston. Near the beach is the 15th century church of Saint Winwaloe. Gunwalloe may be said to be the first entry in the Domesday Book as the King's manor of Winnianton is the first entry for Cornwall. At the time of Domesday it was of great importance and the head manor in the hundred of Kerrier. The parish church was originally a manorial church of this manor but in the 13th century it became a chapelry of Breage. The building is of 15th century date but the tower (a separate building) is perhaps 13th century.
