The RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Filght's Lancaster B.1 PA474 pictured at RAF Coningsby while undergoing its first major servicing in 1982. Noteworthy are all the new rivets in the tail area, replaced to avoid dissimilar metal corrosion. At this time the Guy Gibson's 617 Sqn code has been applied on this side of the Lancaster while the other sde still carries the KM-B markings of No 44 (Rhodesia) Squadron in which it was delivered to the BBMF.
