This photograph is ftom the second special "Blue Belle" railtour organized by the Bluebell Railway Preservation Society. It ran from London Bridge and East Croydon to Haywards Heath, Horsted Keynes and on to Sheffield Park behind the preserved Great Northern Railway J13 0-6-0 ST No.1247 on 1st April 1962

The two original steam locomotives of the Groudle Glen Railway, "Sea Lion" and "Polar Bear", round the headland curves with a train of passengers. This short two foot gauge railway is one of the most popular attractions in the Isle of Man.

The set of 1890's carriages preservd by the Bluebell Railway in East Sussex ready to leave Hirsted Keynes station, hauled by a steam loco of similar vintage. A lone passenger is the only nod the image gives to the 21st century.
