Arrival of a train containing Jews deported to Auschwitz death camp in Poland. Auschwitz-Birkenau (1940-1945) was the largest of the German Concentration and Extermination camps. 1.1 million people, 90 per cent of them Jews are thought to have died there most of them in the gas chambers.
