Description
BAC-Sud Concorde 002 G-BSST (often referred to as Concorde 01) was the second prototype and the first British-built Concorde. On the 9th April 1969 it took off from Filton and is seen on final approach at RAF Fairford, Goucestershire, at the end of the second Concorde test flight and the first flight of a British-built machine. The pilot was Brian Trubshaw. It had a Canberra chase plane also seen in the photo.

Description
This test section was built at Weybridge in 1960 to validate the maximum pressure differential of 9 lb's/in squared in the Barnes Wallis designed Stratosphere Chamber, and donated to the Museum in 1986. It was painted in BOAC colours by British Airways in 1992.
