The c.13th century church of St. Andrew, known as "The Shepherds' Church" sits a little to the south of the village on the northern slope of Didling Hill. The nave and chancel are of plastered rubble with ashlar dressings. The wooden porch is modern. Description
This beautiful ancient 13th century bridge is still robust, thankfully closed to cars in 2004 it is only now used by pedestrians. It was the Historic Gateway into Monmouth, and the traffic in this century had to go single file, each vechicle waiting its turn. Years ago drovers drove their cattle and sheep across it to get to the livestock Market on the town side of the River Monnow. The River Monnmow joins the Wye River at Monmouth just a little way along from the bridge.

Description
The South downs are an escarpment representing the southern edge of a bowl of chalk underlying much of south east England. Looking north from the Downs the country to the north is flat as far as the eye can see until the faint ripple on the horizon of the North Downs. The flat land is agricultural. The village of Fulking lies at the foot of the slope. The slope is well grazed grassland with isolated hawthorn trees, some with bare chalk in their shade.
