Prusik Knot, Easy to tie, can slip on icy or wet ropes. Used for ascending ropes in a self rescue situation, like James bond! With downward pressure the Knot jams, but remove the weight it frees itself and can be pushed up the rope.
Overhand Knot on the bight, Easy to Tie, does not come undone. This Knot is not easy to adjust and is very difficult to untie after being loaded. A poor alternattive to the Figure of eight

View across Portreath Harbour to Kingsley Terrace. The older Harbour Terrace is visible behind. There are boats at their moorings but the tide is out. The buildings at the end of the harbour are on The Square. The most obvious is residential, but the flat roofed building to its left contains for shops: BBHQ Surf Shop nearest, followed by Portreath Bakery, Harbourside Restaurant and a Costcutter which contains the Post Office (as at 2011).
