The Endeavour was built in Leigh-on Sea as a cockle boat in 1926 and spent most of her working life in Leigh. Remains of the Severn trow, Severn Collier, abandoned at Purton, Gloucestershire. Severn Collier is one of about 80 vessels that were used to shore up the banks of the Sharpness canal where it runs parallel and close to the River Severn. She was built in 1937 at Stourport.

Swan and ducks are the only activity on the River Stour at Dedham at the end of October 2010. All the hire boats are moored up at the end of the summer season. The hut in the background is a popular cafe.
