Description
Fishermen on the famous Chesil Beach in Dorset, England, UK. The beach, a major tombolo shingle structure, is a noted feature at the centre of the Jurassic Coast - the UNESCO World Heritage Site on the English Channel coast of Southern England. The site stretches 95 miles from Orcombe Point near Exmouth in Devon to Old Harry Rocks near Swanage in Dorset and was the second wholly-natural World Heritage site to be designated in the UK. The Jurassic Coast consists of Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous cliffs, spanning the Mesozoic Era, documenting 180 million years of geological history.
