Most terrestrial buttercups have yellow flowers, but Ranunculus glacialis breaks the rule with dark pink. This specimen is growing high in the mountains above DalvÃk in northern Iceland (65°58'N 18°36'W) in a patch of otherwise bare basaltic gravel.
