Captain Fraser's Folly overlooks the ferry terminal at Uig on the west coast of Skye in Scotland. The tower is named after The landlord of The Kilmuir Estates in the time of the Highland Clearances. The tower was apparently occupied until the early 1950's

Description
Descending to Loch Trolamaraig on the Urgha to Rhenigidale heritage footpath. Just to the right of the walkers hand is the cairn marking a junction in the path, the left hand fork descends into Glen Trolamaraig and then on to Rhenigidale whilst the other goes down to the abandoned village at Molinginish. Both these isolated communities had to walk to reach their nearest large settlement, in this case Tarbert. Children from Rhenigidale made a round trip of 11 km on a weekly basis just to go to school.
